Employee leaves John Wilkins Cars after 44 Years Loyal Service

It is a rarity these days to find an employee who has worked 44 years for the same company.  Peter Westlake joined John Wilkins Cars as an apprentice Technician in 1971 when the company represented Saab.   The company now represents Suzuki, Subaru and Citroen.  Peter has decided to take things a little easier but has decided to return as a part time driver. He says he “just can’t stay away”
The Directors held a private presentation at the dealership in Leckhampton Road to mark what has become a record for the company.  With only 17 members of staff, Peter’s length of service remains unequalled and is a testament to how John Wilkins Cars treats their staff;  with dignity and respect.
Chairman John Wilkins presented Peter with a cheque and a watch with an inscription in recognition of 44 years loyal service.  Peter said he “he very much enjoyed being a spanner in the works “!
